Up to 2,000 local jobs will be created as Nova Scotians get back to work on more than 200 infrastructure projects across the province. The province is investing up to $230 million to improve infrastructure and help get the economy moving again.

Government is another step closer to construction of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital’s new emergency department, cancer centre and critical care department. The construction management services contract was awarded today, Jan. 9, to Pomerleau Lindsay Construction Joint Venture, as part of the CBRM Health Care Redevelopment Project.
Government continues to move forward with improving sports and recreation facilities in New Waterford, as part of the CBRM Health Care Redevelopment Project. LAT49 Architecture Inc. has been awarded the contract to design and rebuild two sports fields and recreation facilities that are being relocated in New Waterford, today, Dec. 16.
The province is taking another important step to make way for the construction of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital expansion, as part of the CBRM Health Care Redevelopment Project. Today, Dec. 4, the province approved funding of $2.6 million to relocate one of the parking lots at the back of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. The parking lot, which is closest to the building, has 238 spaces. The spaces will be moved across the street from the current Cape Breton Cancer Centre.

Government has issued a request for proposal for the CBRM Health Care Redevelopment Project that will result in improved health-care services in North Sydney. A request for proposal for design services to build a new, modern community health centre, a 60-bed long-term care home and laundry centre in Northside Business Park was issued today, Nov. 19.
