Work continues on NSCC pedway in downtown Sydney

SYDNEY, N.S. – The face of downtown Sydney continues to evolve.

On Tuesday morning, work crews attached the frame of a pedway to two buildings being erected at the new Nova Scotia Community College construction site.

The span crosses the Esplanade between Falmouth and Townsend streets. That block of the busy thoroughfare will likely be closed for another couple of days.

The $170-million NSCC campus is expected to be completed by September 2024.
