DESCRIPTION:Recognizing that their membership is located throughout Nova Scotia and beyond\, the CANS Member Mixer program takes CANS from one end of the province to the other. CANS hosts casual sessions ensuring members have the opportunity to engage with each other face to face\, continue to maintain existing relationships\, and also make new business connections. This program was launched in 2018 and had excellent feedback from attendees. DESCRIPTION:As Nova Scotia becomes more culturally diverse\, we all need to learn how to welcome and work with immigrants and build a better community together. \nIn this full-day workshop\, you will: \n\nIncrease your understanding of settlement and integration issues\nExplore practical ways to welcome and support new immigrants\nDevelop intercultural relationship-building skills for working with new immigrants\n\nThis interactive workshop is open to organizations\, service providers\, educators\, and community volunteers. We also deliver workshops tailored to individual organizations. There is no fee. \nWorkshops will take place monthly\, either online or in person at ISANS (6960 Mumford Rd\, Suite 2120) as ISANS and provincial COVID regulations allow. Please be sure to register early!
