Together\, these projects will create jobs\, opportunities for workforce training for underrepresented groups\, and direct benefits to local businesses\, communities\, and the economy. \nThrough a comprehensive overview of the public sector marketplace in Nova Scotia\, attendees of this session received a sound understanding of procurement in the government context. \nAttendees learned information on: \n\nWhere to find opportunities;\nThe importance of Ariba Discovery (e-bidding system);\nTender Opportunity Notification Service (TONS);\nTender procedures and processes;\nThe importance of building networks to promote your business; and\nUnderstanding the Debrief Process.\n\nThe next session in this series is Navigating the E-Bidding System for Suppliers (February 24\, 2021).

Together\, these projects will create jobs\, opportunities for workforce training for underrepresented groups\, and direct benefits to local businesses\, communities\, and the economy. \nThe first segment in this virtual information session series was held on February 10\, 2021\, and focused on providing a broad range of information on the opportunities for local businesses and suppliers\, including: \n\nAn overview of the upcoming infrastructure projects and their associated timelines;\nPresentations from project Construction Managers; • Overview of opportunities for small and medium business\, social enterprises\, and diverse suppliers;\nA preview of sessions that will focus specifically on opportunities to do business with government; and\nOpportunities for questions and answers.\n\nFuture sessions in this series will also include an Introduction to Selling to Government (February 17\, 2021) and Navigating the E-Bidding System for Suppliers (February 24\, 2021).
